Tour Details

Mixquic, one of the most representative magical neighborhoods, symbolizes the very essence of the death ritual. Every year, this town prepares to celebrate the traditional Day of the Dead with spectacular sawdust carpets, marigold flowers, pre-Hispanic dances, and colorful altars that adorn its streets and announce the arrival of the faithful departed.

On November 1st, Mexico commemorates All Saints’ Day, dedicated to remembering deceased children. On this date, you can see how preparations begin to welcome them, including offerings in the cemetery, the local fair with traditional dishes, music, and flowers that fill the atmosphere with color and life.

Discover how the locals welcome their deceased relatives and friends in a totally unique ritual, an essential part of Mexico City’s traditions.
