GOOD FRIDAY CELEBRATION IN TAXCO FROM MEXICO CITY
If you’re in Mexico City on Good Friday, enjoy an epic religious celebration — the Passion of the Christ in Taxco.
At the beginning of the morning, we will leave Mexico City towards Cuernavaca (the city of eternal spring), to make the city tour and then to the town of Cacahuamilpa, where we will enter the famous Cacahuamilpa Caves, considered the second biggest in the world. Inside the grotto, there are tunnels with a length of up to 10 km. Its natural formations form faces, faces, and figures, such as the views in the halls of the goat, the throne, the fountain, the palms, and the cathedral.
Leaving the caves, we will continue to a silver workshop where they will explain to us how some crafts are made with this material and how to distinguish silver from two other metals. We continue to Taxco for the city tour including the visit to some silver shops, the Temple of Santa Prisca, and the Silver Museum. The rest of the afternoon is free for shopping.
